Newcastle University has been highlighted in a recent HEPI/UUK report on the role of universities in driving inward investment into UK R&D.

A featured case study demonstrates how the University works closely with the inward investment agency, Invest Newcastle, to attract companies looking to locate and invest in the North-East. In particular, its work with Newcastle City Council and Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to develop a campus for ageing and vitality.

The report, The role of universities in driving overseas investment into UK Research and Development, by Dr Alexis Brown, Global Education Insights at the British Council was published in early March.
